EXHIBITION DESCRIPTION
I tend to frame many of my interactions through a lens of either beauty, or humor, or grace or surprise. Sometimes a story might evolve.
While I learned to paint en plein air in the Utah desert, at the instruction of a friend, at age forty-five, I mostly work these days from photos of varied and random subject matter, often shot as I drive past at thing, whether human situation, or sunlit detail, or sudden stunning environs.
My painting style has grown looser, and possibly more makeshift, sometimes a puzzlement, even.
