Exhibitions traveling through MAGDA are proposed and sponsored by a nonprofit museum, gallery, or cultural organization. Artists of all genres and experience levels are encouraged to apply with support of a nonprofit member. Proposals are reviewed and selected based upon artistic merit, educational value, and ability to travel. Selected exhibitions are presented to MAGDA’s membership during the Annual Conference each October. MAGDA’s membership represents fine art museums, galleries, and cultural organizations from Montana and the region.
MAGDA manages the the traveling exhibition program via contracting, scheduling, and material dispersal. MAGDA has stringent Exhibition Care Policies and Handling Guidelines required for all sponsoring and host organizations. Members have the advantage of hosting an exhibition that has been professionally curated and has high educational value. The fees to book exhibitions are made afordable for all members and are shipped at a flat, discounted rate. Members also have the opportunity to sponsor exhibitions curated by their organization. A sponsoring organization sets and retains all booking fees.
